Who We Are

TharpeRobbins represents the result of the February 2007 merger of The Tharpe Company and The Robbins Company. This merger joined together two organizations whose reputations were built on innovation, customer service and flexibility.

The original Tharpe Company was founded in 1981 by John S. Tharpe and nine other experienced recognition professionals who believed that a new approach was needed to meet the changing recognition needs of corporate America.

The original Robbins Company was established in 1892 by Charles Robbins, a prominent jeweler in Attleboro, MA, in a shed near his home where he produced his first jewelry, a campaign button to promote Benjamin Harrison for President.

Today, The TharpeRobbins Company is an innovative and dynamic force in the recognition industry, with a client list including many Fortune 1000 corporations. The company is responsible for a number of industry firsts, ranging from the introduction of consumer focused award offerings to the application of technology to improve program results.
